About Marko Krstić
I’m Marko Krstić, the designer and developer behind DPlugins. I build WordPress plugins for people who make websites, and I write the tutorials on this site.

What I do at DPlugins
DPlugins has sold WordPress plugins since 2020. It started with Swiss Knife for Oxygen and Scripts Organizer. Today it covers Tailwind CSS in WordPress (Winden), native Gutenberg blocks written in PHP (FanCoolo WP), code snippets (Scripts Organizer), admin cleanup, local fonts and self-hosted plugin updates, plus a set of free tools.
I design the products, write a large part of the code and lead a small team of developers who build our WordPress and Figma plugins. The tutorials come from the same work: problems I ran into while building client sites and our own plugins.
Background: 25 years of design
Alongside DPlugins I work as a product designer, mostly on design systems and complex products. Details and case studies are on markokrstic.com.
- Malwarebytes (now): Principal Design Systems Designer, working on a design system optimized for AI.
- Scandic Hotels (7 years): Lead UI Designer, Art Director and Design System Manager. Built the design system used across web, iOS, Android and in-room TV, and led the brand’s accessible colour system. The Scandic website won the Nordic award for best hotel website two years in a row (case study).
- Electrolux (2 years): UX Designer and Design Systems Lead. Created Electrolux’s first design system and designed its logistics and invoicing platforms (case study).
- Accedo (2 years): Lead Designer on a platform that lets broadcasters build streaming apps for 10 platforms without code (case study).
- Entypo / Pixels (11 years): Creative Director for Swiss and international brands such as Swisscom, Helsana and SIX Payment Services.
- Bachelor in Graphic Design, University of Applied Arts, Belgrade.
Why that shapes the plugins
Design systems are the thread through all of it. Winden brings Tailwind’s tokens and utility classes to WordPress, Winden Tokens manages the same tokens in Figma, and FanCoolo WP lets you build blocks as reusable components without a React build step. The goal is always the same: fewer one-off solutions, and tools that fit how designers and developers already work.
